You’ll need a few basic tools on hand when you’re installing window blinds. You’ll need a tape measure, protective eyewear, a pencil, flat screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, drill, drill bits, a level, the hardware included with the window blind set, and possibly a ladder or stepstool if your windows are located higher up in the wall. Here are the basics of installing your own window blinds. 1) First, you’ll need to decide if you want an inside mount or outside mount for your window blind. 2) Next, measure the windows carefully. Because most window blinds are custom fit according to the homeowners’ measurements, it’s critical that the measurements are accurate. You’ve heard the saying, “measure twice, cut once”, right?
